A short video exploring a child’s vivid imagination as she overcomes her fear of the dark. This project aims to play with the manipulation of light and shadow to cast eerie and menacing shapes reminiscent of a child’s nightmare or fear of the dark. Warm, soft colours were utilised to convey safety and warmth under the protective barrier of light, and cool, dark colours were used to convey fear and inertia. 

Completed using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Substance Painter, Autodesk Maya, Arnold Renderer and Adobe After Effects.
